Rupp Arena ticket sales rank 15th in U.S. for first half of 2023, Pollstar says

The Lexington Center broke ground in July 2018 on a much anticipated $241 million renovation and expansion of Rupp Arena and Lexington Convention Center.

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Rupp Arena is currently ranked 15th in the U.S. and third in the south for tickets sold to events for the first half of 2023, according to Pollstar Magazine, the industry’s leading trade publication.

The mid-year rankings, based on number of tickets sold for arenas, solidifies Rupp Arena as a contender for bringing high-quality events and attractions to Lexington. The ranking is Rupp Arena’s highest to date (beating out larger markets, including Memphis, TN; Indianapolis, IN; Tulsa, OK, and Oklahoma City, OK).

Acknowledged as the most credible source for industry and box office data, Pollstar evaluates arenas across the nation on criteria such as attendance, ticket sales, and overall event experience. The inclusion at such a high- rank applauds Rupp Arena’s established status as a premier destination for live entertainment and sports.

“We would like to acknowledge and thank our fans and employees for their consistent passion and support; along with expressing our gratitude to the exceptional performers, artists, managers, and promoters who have graced our stage and helped us secure record-breaking crowds and sales,” said OVG360’s Brian Sipe, General Manager, Rupp Arena. “We are also proud of our OVG360 booking team in Lexington, including Trevor Chesler, Kevin Grove and Madison Duryea, who have proven that new, diverse event line-ups and the support of Oak View Group can show the world that this almost 50-year old Rupp Arena is still one of the best places to see a live show.”

OVG360 remains committed to providing excellent entertainment experiences through a wide range of events and genres at Rupp Arena. Upcoming event details and ticket links can be found at www.rupparena.com.
