Deanbuilds and Elaine Allen to begin construction on Town Branch Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Construction for Town Branch Park will begin in the coming weeks as the city held its official groundbreaking last week. Deanbuilds and Elaine Allen, Lexington-based construction companies, have teamed up to bring this imagined park to life. Town Branch Park began as an idea to better the community over a decade ago. Since then, city officials, board members, community philanthropists, and construction and design companies have worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality. “Our Construction Team is ready to get to work to ensure that we stay on our construction timeline,” said Alison Langford, Executive Director of Town Branch Park. “I can just see David Dean, Blanton Coates, and Bishop Carter tapping their watches as I speak (ready to start).” The Deanbuilds and Elaine Allen teams are proud to hold the responsibility of transforming the asphalt lot into a state-of-the-art, inclusive community green space that will serve Lexington residents for generations to come. “From the beginning of the pre-construction phase, we have worked hard to add a high percentage of DBE contractors to the Town Branch Park project,” said David Dean, founder and president of Deanbuilds. “This is a community project and we are proud of our efforts to bring diversity to our management and subcontracting teams. ” “One of our core values is to be an involved and giving member of our community,” said Blanton Coates, Director of Business Development at Deanbuilds. “This is a legacy project for our team and the city, and we do not take this opportunity lightly.” This park will provide ample opportunities for outdoor exercise, a high-tech stage with a 4,000-person amphitheater, a unique children’s playground, an educational and interactive water play area, a dog park, food and beverage offerings, art installations, a butterfly garden, a recreation lawn, a reading room, and so much more. Construction on the park is projected to finish in 2025.
