Blessings In a Backpack Louisville Chapter and Atrium Brewing to release Limited-Edition Blessings Brew

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter has teamed up with Atrium Brewing to create a special limited-edition beverage to be released Thursday, September 28, with funds raised from the partnership helping feed students from Shelby Traditional Academy on weekends.

One in four students in Louisville relies on school meals during the week, which is where the Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter steps in, providing healthy food on weekends so students don’t go without. This partnership will feed local students and help create a better learning environment – studies show when students have full bellies, they are more focused on learning rather than where their next meal will come from.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to join hands with Atrium Brewing for this partnership, which will help make a difference in the lives of local students at Shelby Traditional Academy,” said Kim Holsclaw, managing director of Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter. “This is a significant need in our community to help feed children, as nearly 80,000 kids in Louisville qualify for the Blessings program. This unique partnership will empower our community members to help ensure school-age kids are fed over the weekend. We are so thankful to the Atrium team for helping give back to kids in their neighborhood!”

Atrium Brewing has become a steward in the Shelby Park neighborhood since its opening in 2020. For the company’s third birthday, they are giving back to the community they call home by partnering with the Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter.

“Time has flown by, and we are immensely grateful to be an integral part of the thriving and dynamic beer community. This year, we proudly unveiled our second taproom in Norton Commons, and the overwhelming support from this remarkable community has exceeded our wildest expectations,” said Princeton Hurst, Atrium Brewing Owner. “To commemorate this milestone, we are organizing a jubilant celebration brimming with exciting events, delightful collaborations with local businesses, and a heartfelt commitment to giving back to the community that has embraced us. With immense gratitude, we acknowledge your invaluable contribution to our success, as you voted us the top brewery in Louisville. We eagerly anticipate your presence at the festivities as we raise a glass in celebration, toasting to the shared love of craft beer and the incredible journey we have embarked upon together. Cheers!”

On Thursday, September 28, Atrium Brewing will publicly launch the limited-edition Blessings brew during a Bingo event held at both brewery locations: 1154 Logan St, Louisville, KY 40204, and 11205 River Beauty Loop, Prospect, KY 40059. To participate, Bingo cards will be sold at the event for $1, directly benefiting the Blessings in a Backpack Louisville Chapter. Additionally, for every four-pack of the Blessings brew sold, Atrium Brewing will donate $2; for every draft pour, Atrium will donate $1 toward the Blessings in Backpack Louisville Chapter to benefit Shelby Traditional Academy.
