ELPO Law’s West inducted to the Kentucky Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals

English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley, LLP (ELPO Law) is pleased to announce that attorney John West has been inducted to the Kentucky Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN) for 2024. Formed in 2008, NADN is an invitation-only professional association whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their firsthand experience in civil and commercial dispute resolution. Membership is based on peer nominations and due diligence research in each state, under the guidance of state committees. Once identified, nominees are thoroughly vetted to meet all practice requirements.

West currently serves as Senior Counsel with ELPO Law. He is a seasoned trial attorney with three decades of litigation experience. Over the last twenty years, West has focused on environmental law issues involving water, air, waste management and natural resources. West has been a nationally recognized labor arbitrator for over thirty years presiding over and resolving labor disputes in the public and private sectors. He has been listed with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service since 1993.

West has presided over arbitration cases in the following industries: agriculture, automotive, bakery, beverage, building products, cement, chemicals, coal, dairy, distillery, electrical equipment/appliances, foundry, health care, hospital/nursing home, iron, lumber, machinery, meat packing, metal fabrication, mining, police and fire, prison guard, public sector grievance, pulp and paper, steel, transportation, trucking and storage, and utilities.

West is a graduate of Purdue University and The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
