Governor appointed leaders to Kentucky board and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has appointed the following leaders to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Gov. Beshear has appointed Deborah Alexander and Foster Shrout as members of the Consumers’ Advisory Council for terms expiring Feb. 1, 2027.

  • Deborah Alexander of Lexington is a retired U.S. Department of State senior diplomatic advisor. She replaces Jerry Hodges, whose term has expired.
  • Foster Shrout of Owingsville is the CEO of Solutions First Consulting. He replaces Max Thomas, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Dr. Supra Parthasarathy as a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee for a term expiring Feb. 6, 2027.

  • Dr. Supra Parthasarathy of Louisville is a pediatric anesthesiologist and represents physicians from any specialty as a member of the Committee. She replaces Dr. William McIntyre, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Marlene McKinley and Scott Pettinichi as members of the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care, both representing respiratory care practitioners, for terms expiring Oct. 30, 2026.

  • Marlene McKinley of Cynthiana is the manager of respiratory care at Saint Joseph Hospital.
  • Scott Pettinichi of Louisville is a respiratory therapist at Norton Children’s Hospital.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Kellie Smith as a member of the Statewide Advisory Council for Vocational Rehabilitation. Additionally, he has appointed Veronica Willis-Oldham, Jade Finley, Allison Johnson and Johnny Wayne Collett as members of the Council.

  • Kellie Smith of Berea is the assistant director of KY-SPIN and will continue to represent parent training and information centers for a term expiring June 27, 2026.
  • Veronica Willis-Oldham of Bowling Green is the assistant director of the Student Accessibility Resource Center at Western Kentucky University and represents members of a disability group as a member of the Council. She replaces Matthew Davis, who resigned, and will serve for a term expiring June 27, 2024.
  • Jade Finley of Lexington is a graduate student at the University of Louisville. She represents recipients of vocational rehabilitation services and replaces Tyler Levy, whose term has expired. Finley will serve for a term expiring Feb. 5, 2027.
  • Allison Johnson of Georgetown is the exceptional children consultant at the Kentucky Department of Education. She represents the state educational agency and replaces Susan Farra, whose term has expired. Johnson will serve for a term expiring Feb. 5, 2027.
  • Johnny Wayne Collett of Lexington is the director of learning services at the UK Human Development Institute. He represents the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board and replaces Amy Luttrell, whose term has expired. Collett will serve for a term expiring Feb. 5, 2027.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Tia Edwards, Ashley Smith and David Greer as members of the Kentucky African-American Heritage Commission representing the public at-large.

  • Tia Edwards of Lexington is the co-founder of Fresh Bourbon Distilling Co. She replaces Alicestune Turley, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Feb. 1, 2028.
  • Ashley Smith of Lexington is the co-founder of Black Soil: Our Better Nature. She replaces Walter Malone, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Feb. 1, 2028.
  • David Greer of Oakland is a financial advisor and Tony-nominated producer. He replaces Kilen Gray, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Feb. 1, 2027.
