Kroger puts $2.6M in Shelbyville store; reopening is March 21

Shoppers can line up for $25 gift cards for first 100 customers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —  The Kroger Co., Louisville Division, will have a grand reopening of its Shelbyville Kroger grocery store On Thursday, March 21. Located at 311 Boone Station Road, Shelbyville, KY 40065, the $2.6 million investment includes a total store reset – with an increase in product selection and shelving for pantry staples.

The remodel added a new apparel department including décor, new features, and updated selections. There’s a notable,  improved fresh shopping experience with an expanded Produce section and Deli/Bakery choices with artisan bread and frozen bakery.

 To celebrate the grand reopening, Kroger will be hosting a ceremony at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, March 21, with ribbon cutting at 8 where the store’s management team and associates will celebrate the company’s re-commitment to the Shelbyville community. Mayor H. Troy Ethington will be in attendance as well as the Shelbyville Fire Department and Martha Layne Collins High School choir and cheer teams.

“We are thrilled to reinvest in the Shelbyville customer experience with several favorites and new options,” said Store Manager Nicole Zaluski. “We look forward to celebrating with our shoppers during the Grand Reopening Events throughout the weekend.”
