KET is temporarily airing national PBS feed

Severe weather knocked out commercial power supply

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Following yesterday’s severe weather, KET’s Network Center in Lexington continues to be without commercial power. With limited operations, KET is unable to air its normally scheduled programs and instead is broadcasting the national PBS program service on its KET and KET2 channels.

Due to the power outage at the KET Network Center in Lexington, KET’s broadcast signal will be temporarily unavailable for all its channels throughout Kentucky today.

The broadcast signal is expected to be down while repairs are being made to equipment. KET will issue an update as soon as more information is available or the network is poised to return to the airwaves.

More information, including today’s broadcast schedules, is on our website at KET.org. We are sorry for the disruption and hope to return to regular operations as soon as possible.
