BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Med Center Health and the Barren County Chamber of Commerce will host a groundbreaking ceremony for Med Center Health Glasgow at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at 401 South L Rogers Wells Blvd. in Glasgow.

Med Center Health Glasgow will also feature an outpatient diagnostic imaging center, which will offer radiology, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine CT and MRI.

Physicians will hold regular clinic hours at the new facility, allowing patients from Barren and surrounding counties to receive care close to home. Planned specialties include, but will not be limited to: Primary Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Hematology/Oncology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine.

MCH is a not-for-profit health system with hospitals in Bowling Green, Albany, Caverna (Horse Cave), Franklin and Scottsville, as well as Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital, a long-term acute care hospital. They comprise 454 acute care beds and 110 extended care beds. It employs 500+ physicians and nurse practitioners in more than 50 specialties and includes more than 3,500 employees and 130 employed providers.

As SouthCentral Kentucky’s most comprehensive healthcare system, Med Center Health continuously looks for ways to improve access to care so patients across SouthCentral Kentucky can receive high quality healthcare services close to home,” said Connie Smith, President & CEO of Med Center Health.  “More than half of the patients we care for in Bowling Green live outside of Warren County. Bringing specialized services closer to residents of Barren and surrounding counties is consistent with our mission to care for people and improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.”

Med Center Health Glasgow is expected to open in the spring of 2025.

In the event of inclement weather, the backup date for the event will be Thursday, April 25 at 2:00 PM.
