How will health care reform affect your business? May seminars offer expert guidance

Partnership of Kentucky chambers, HR society sponsor events in Lexington, Louisville

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 28, 2013) — Experts on the impact of federal health care reform on business will present advice to Kentucky companies at half-day seminars May 8 and 9 in Lexington and Louisville.

healthcarelawPresentations on the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will include specific discussions of expected cost increases and tax implications for businesses according to the options required and available as reform is implemented.

The Kentucky Health Care Reform Seminar will be presented by The Iasis Group Inc., The Lane Report and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. The seminar is part of a statewide partnership that includes Commerce Lexington, Greater Louisville Inc., Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Each half-day seminar in Lexington and Louisville will tackle the Affordable Care Act and the effects it will have on small and large companies across the state, including the role of the health insurance exchange and the changing ways that coverage premiums will be determined. Industry experts will provide guidance to employers on complying with the new rules surrounding insurance reforms and insight to whether Kentucky companies truly can afford the Affordable Care Act.

The Lexington half-day afternoon health care reform seminar is set for Wednesday, May 8, at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa with registration to begin at 12:30 p.m. The Louisville half-day morning seminar is set for Thursday, May 9, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown with registration to begin at 8 a.m.
