Good Foods rebranding, focusing on co-op roots

50 cents of ever dollar spent at co-op stays in local community

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 23, 2014) — Good Foods Market and Café is rebranding itself to return the focus to its roots as a cooperative grocery by and for locals. The 42-year-old store is changing its name back to Good Foods Co-op.

GoodFoods_new_logoThe official rebranding launch will coincide with the store’s free Kickoff Summer Sampling Event on May 30 from 5 to7 p.m.

“Fifty cents of every dollar spent at the co-op stays here in our local community and that’s something that we think consumers would be interested in knowing and wanting to support,” said Kristy Yowell, marketing manager at Good Foods Co-op.

Good Foods Co-op is Kentucky’s only locally owned and operated cooperative grocery. It stocks a wide selection of non-GMO products and produce, the majority of which are local and come from over 250 Kentucky farmers and local businesses. It has more than 6,700 owner members.

Located at 455 Southland Drive, Good Foods is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visit goodfoods.coop to learn more.
