RICHMOND, Ky. (Aug. 11, 2014) — Eastern Kentucky University will host a Women Leading Kentucky conference on the Richmond campus on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Perkins Building. The event is designed to attract women entrepreneurs, leaders, thinkers, investors, givers, collaborators and educators and create business and leadership networking opportunities for women at all stages of their careers.

The keynote speaker for the event is former Gov. Martha Layne Collins, who will head a roundtable luncheon at noon.

A women’s forum from 9 to 11:30 a.m. includes an entrepreneur and leadership panel and facilitated discussion about the future of women in southeastern Kentucky.

Seating is limited, so pre-registration is required. The morning forum is free, while the cost for the noon luncheon is $35 per person, with an opportunity to sponsor a local EKU or high school student as part of a mentoring component.
