Denise Van Steenlandt has been interim CEO for past four months
WINCHESTER, Ky. (Oct. 13, 2014) — Alliance Bank of Winchester has named Denise Van Steenlandt as its new president and CEO. Van Steenlandt, who has 25 years of banking experience, has served as interim CEO for the past four months. Prior to that, she was a consultant for Chartwell Capital Ltd in Palm City, Fla.
Alliance Bank will hold a reception for customers and the community to meet Van Steenlandt from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 23 at 695 Bullion Blvd. in Winchester.
“I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with the Board of Directors and the employees of Alliance Bank for the past several months and look forward to what the future holds,” Van Steenlandt said. “I believe commitment to the community is obtained by taking an active role in the community we serve and am heartened that the bank has twice been awarded the Readers Choice Best Bank Award in The Winchester Sun.”
As a consultant and a member of senior management, she has led financial institutions ranging from start-up banks to those with almost $1 billion in assets, including banks in Lexington, Danville and Bardstown.
Van Steenlandt, a native of Paducah with an executive level graduate degree in banking from Louisiana State University, also has been a featured speaker at a banking workshop of the American Association of Bank Directors.
