Screening is Oct. 24 in Lexington
An award-winning documentary film and social action campaign that includes a screening of the film “Ground Operations: Battlefields to Farmfields” will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Oct. 24 in Lexington at the Oleika Shrine Temple, 326 Southland Dr.
The event is free, but donations will be accepted to support Growing Warriors, the local farmer-veteran organization and the Ground Operations national campaign.
The film follows an ensemble of young men and women who tell their stories of why they joined the military, how the war changed them, how they’ve struggled to return home and ultimately and how they found sustainable farming and ranching to be the answer to a dream.
