World Taekwondo Championships to be held in Louisville

instructor1LOUISVILLE, KY (October 14, 2014) – More than 1,500 competitors will vie for a championship at the 28th annual Hwang’s Martial Arts World Taekwondo Championships at the Kentucky Exposition Center’s Broadbent Arena on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

Teams will compete in breaking, weapons, poomsae (forms), with black belts also competing for the grand champion title.

The event showcases both American and international competitors and focuses on promoting confidence and building international friendship, including teams from Bermuda, Canada, Iowa and Alaska.

Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Parking at the Kentucky Exposition Center is $8 per vehicle.
