Will fill position for remainder of late husband’s term
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 12, 2015) — Gov. Steve Beshear appointed Chyrill Miller as Marshall County Judge-Executive, filling the vacancy left by her husband, longtime Judge- Executive Mike Miller, who died last month.
“I greatly appreciate Chyrill Miller’s willingness to carry on her family’s legacy of public service and dedication to Marshall County, especially so soon after her tremendous loss,” Beshear said. “We continue to grieve with her and her family, but I am confident that she will carry on the good work that Mike brought to that county throughout his career.”
Miller said she will not run for office this fall. Candidates must file to run for the office by this year’s filing deadline of Jan. 27.
