New larger facility will hire 15 new employees
GEORGETOWN, IND. (Jan. 14, 2015) — One Southern Indiana announced this week that Kellco Precision Machine & Tool, Inc., an owner-operated precision machine shop in Louisville, received approval for incentives from the Floyd County (Indiana) Council as the company prepares for relocation and expansion in Georgetown, Ind.
Due to an anticipated 30 percent to 50 percent increase in orders over the next three years, company president and owner Scott Patterson chose to build Kellco Precision Machine & Tool, Inc.’s new 15,000-s.f. facility on Floyd County property he had previously purchased. The new facility will be 50 percent larger than the company’s current location on South Seventh Street in Louisville. Patterson also plans to hire an additional 15 employees by 2018 to add to the 11 currently employed.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Kellco Precision Machine & Tool, Inc. up to $135,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. Floyd County approved additional incentives.
