Lexington mayor declares Friday Blue-White Day

In honor of UK’s perfect regular season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 12, 2015) — In honor of the University of Kentucky basketball team’s perfect 31-0 regular season Mayor Jim Gray has declared Friday Blue-White Day. UK takes on Florida in the SEC quarterfinals at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Gray declared:

WHEREAS, the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team finished its regular season with a perfect record of 31-0; and WHEREAS, the Wildcats will strive to remain undefeated as they enter the Southeastern Conference Tournament and the NCAA Tournament; and WHEREAS, the Big Blue Nation includes the loudest, proudest and most loyal fans in all of college athletics; and WHEREAS, all Wildcat fans are encouraged to wear their favorite UK gear on game days and cheer on the team throughout the postseason. Now, therefore, I, Jim Gray, Mayor of Lexington, declare March 13, 2015: Blue-White Day
