Last year Kentuckians collected 108,945 bags of trash
FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 16, 2015) — Commonwealth Cleanup Week is March 21-28.
The weeklong initiative provides Kentucky communities with an opportunity to spring clean, recycle and promote personal responsibility by collecting trash and old tires.
During the 2014 event more than 20,000 Kentuckians picked up 108,945 bags of trash, more than 1,000 tires along thousands of miles of roadway and cleaned eight illegal dumps.
