Parking on UK campus to be affected by women’s NCAA tourney games

Games are Friday and Sunday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 17, 2015) — Parking at the University of Kentucky will be impacted for NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championships at Memorial Coliseum. Games are at noon and 2:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

UK logoAccording to UK Parking and Transportation Services North Campus the College View Lot, adjacent to Wildcat Coal Lodge, will be reserved for tournament operations parking only from today through Sunday; the lot has 75 spaces. Additionally, 20 spaces in the Coliseum Lot, located behind the Joe Craft Center, will be unavailable from Thursday through Sunday to accommodate satellite trucks for media outlets covering the tournament games.

The Linden Walk Lot will also be unavailable to general parking Friday through Sunday for tournament operations. The lot consists of 63 spaces.

Additionally, employees who park in the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) should expect an increase in visitors parking in the facility Friday, March 20, and plan accordingly.

On Friday No. 10 seed Iowa State (18-12) plays No. 7 seed Dayton (25-6) at noon. No. 2 seed UK (23-9) faces No. 15 seed Tennessee State (18-12) at 2:30 p.m. The winners play on Sunday.
