Gas line rupture closes portion of U.S. 60 in Franklin County 


Closure expected to last more than 4 hours

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 13, 2015) — The Frankfort Police Department has closed all lanes of U.S. 60 in Franklin County from U.S. 127 to Meadowview Drive near Kentucky State Police Post 12. Crews from Columbia Gas are on-site to repair an 8-inch gas line rupture. The closure is expected to last more than 4 hours and will affect the afternoon commute.

Police are detouring eastbound U.S. 60 traffic onto Meadowview Drive to U.S. 127. Westbound U.S. 60 motorists are encouraged to detour to Interstate 64.
