State business leaders travel to India for cultural exchange

Purpose was to make business and cultural connections

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 13, 2015) — State business leaders recently participated in a cultural exchange visit to India.

The trip included chamber executives from Winchester-Clark County, Jessamine County, Murray-Calloway County, Ashland and Madisonville and Bartlett, Tenn., representatives from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives, World Trade Center Kentucky and Greater Louisville Inc.

The focus of the trip was to make business and cultural connections beneficial to Kentucky. The group visited Delhi, Jaipur and Agra in India, and Abu Dhabi & Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Meetings were held with the following:

  • Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi
  • Rajasthan Industries, World Trade Center Jaipur and World Trade Center Mumbai
  • Indo American Friends Group (Chamber of Commerce) in Delhi
  • Andrea Irani, Account Manager of Association Management & Consulting, MCI Group, Dubai
