Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park hosting Pioneer Appalachian Mountain Life Craft Show

BUCKHORN, Ky. (April 22, 2015) – Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is hosting its first craft show of the year – the 2015 Pioneer Appalachian Mountain Life Craft Show, May 1-3.

Visitors will find a variety of crafts during the three-day show. Admission is free. The show in the park convention center will be open Friday from 3-8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from noon-4 p.m. In addition to the craft show, the park’s restaurant is hosting a Country Feast on May 2 from 4-8 p.m.

The menu will include a soup and salad bar, barbecue ribs, pot roast, catfish and fried chicken. Sides will include fried potatoes, okra, green beans and cooked corn along with a dessert bar. Adults can eat for $13.99; children ages 6-12 can eat for $7.49, and children 5 and under eat free. Prices do not include drink, tax or gratuity.

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is on KY Hwy 1833. The resort is 25 miles northwest of Hazard, within the Elk Corridor. Buckhorn Lake features a lodge with 36 rooms, cottages, a convention center, Bowlingtown Country Kitchen Restaurant and gift shop. The park is located on 856 scenic acres along a 1,200-acre lake with boating and fishing, tennis courts, two miles of hiking trails and other recreational activities.
