LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 14, 2015)—Eric Gilliam, president of Saint Joseph East and Saint Joseph Berea, both part of KentuckyOne Health, was recognized by Catholic Health Association (CHA) with one of the organization’s most prestigious honors, the CHA Tomorrow’s Leaders Award.
This national distinction recognizes remarkable leaders who have a commitment to advancing health care and the spirit of quality, innovation and compassion. Gilliam has been part of Saint Joseph and KentuckyOne Health for more than 16 years. He has served as president at Saint Joseph East since 2012 and Saint Joseph Berea since 2014.
“Eric leads with focus, commitment and inspiration to ensure quality care, safety and service. He encourages the most from his teams and supports the local and system wide culture to be fully engaged in every patient and community interaction,” said Ruth Brinkley, president and CEO, KentuckyOne Health.
Gilliam will be recognized for his service and leadership at the 2015 Catholic Health General Assembly on June 8 in Washington, DC. Other nominees include Sondra Norder, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Paul Elder Services, Inc. in Wisconsin; Christi Pierce, Vice President, Quality and Safety of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Louisiana; and Raymond Weick, Medical Director of Southern Region Mercy in Missouri; among others.
