EKU nationally ranked for best online programs for veterans

Recognized by U.S. News & World Report

RICHMOND, Ky. (May 26, 2015) — Eastern Kentucky University was ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best Online Programs for Veterans for Best Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs, Best Online Graduate Education Programs and Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs.

veterans-badge_135x133This is the third year that U.S. News has ranked online programs for veterans. The rankings are designed to help returning veterans and active-duty service members identify high-quality online degree programs that suit their educational needs.  In order to be ranked, programs were required to belong to an institution that is both certified for the GI Bill and participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Institutions not participating with the Yellow Ribbon Program were still eligible if charging in-state tuition for all out-of-state veterans.

In addition, all schools evaluated in this ranking must have been awarded a numerical rank in the overall 2015 U.S. News Best Online Programs rankings, released earlier this year, which assessed for various factors, including affordability, faculty credentials, student services and reputation. Only regionally accredited degree-granting programs that were predominantly online were considered.
