Event on Saturday in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 3, 2015) — Saint Joseph Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host a special Walk with a Doc event in collaboration with the Winburn Center Community Health and Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Walk with a Doc events are part of a nationwide program that empowers people to improve their health through physical activity as they exercise side-by-side with their health care providers.
Walking has the lowest dropout rate of any physical activity, according to the American Heart Association. Research has shown that you could gain two hours of life for each hour of regular exercise.
