FRANKFORT, Ky. — Centre College is hosting the Kentucky Arts Council’s “Music Scenes” exhibit from June 8 through Dec. 4 at the college’s Norton Center for the Arts in Danville.

The exhibit, “Music Scenes,” features 39 works by 33 artists and examines the relationship between visual art and music. The selected artwork includes painting, photography, fiber art, collage and mixed media.

The show was originally conceived to be a companion piece to the Kentucky Stage performing arts showcase at Kentucky Crafted: The Market 2015 in March, but after the exhibit’s success at The Market, representatives from Centre contacted the arts council about bringing “Music Scenes” to Danville.

In addition to displaying the work, the Norton Center staff is working on an exhibit study guide for school groups to use when visiting the center.
