Madden Developments plans 230,000-sq-ft shopping center in Louisville

Louisville, Ky. – Lexington company Madden Development has submitted plans to build a 230,000-square-foot shopping center in southern Jefferson County, according to a report by The Courier-Journal.

The center would be located just southwest of the Gene Snyder Freeway and Bardstown Road.

The plans submitted to the Louisville Metro Department of Planning and Design, according to the report, includes 13 stores as well as a 50,000-square-foot anchor retail outlet. No companies were specified in the report.

A meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m. July 21 at the Fern Creek fire station on Bardstown Road to discuss the plans to neighbors.

In Lexington, the Madden company developed the Hamburg Pavilion shopping center, with over one million square feet, on their venerable Hamburg Place horse farm.
