Barrel House Distilling to release first batch of bourbon

Lexington, Ky. – Getting into the bourbon industry is an exercise patience, the owners of Barrel House Distilling in Lexington, Ky. know all too well.

The owners of the craft distillery, located in the up-and-coming Distillery District just outside of downtown Lexington, have announced that their first batch of bourbon is ready to be released.

Called RockCastle bourbon, the craft distillers will be hosting an official release party on July 24 at the James Pepper campus. The bourbon will go on sale at 6 p.m. and there will be accompanying festivities from 4 – 11 p.m.

RockCastle bourbon will be available throughout Kentucky at Liquor Barn retailers, as well as at Unlimited Spirits on Southland Dr.

The first batch is extremely limited, consisting of only 500 bottles.

Prior to RockCastle, Barrel House Distilling created other spirits, including Pure Blue Vodka, Devil John Moonshine and Oak Rum.

The distillery’s tasting room and gift shop is open Wed. – Fri. from 12 – 5 p.m. with tours every hour. The distillery is open 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sat. – Sun. with tours every hour. For more information, visit http://barrelhousedistillery.com.
