Air quality alert for ozone Saturday in Louisville, Southern Indiana

Some residents should take precautions

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 24, 20150) — There is an Air Quality Alert for Ozone on Saturday in Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana.

Forecasters believe sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures approaching 90 degrees will combine to elevate ozone levels into the unhealthy for sensitive groups range.

Although the general public is not likely to be affected, people with asthma and/or lung disease, older adults, and small children should take precautions to avoid prolonged exposure to ozone.
