Lawrenceburg, Ky. – Brent Elliott is the new master distiller for Four Roses Bourbon after previous master distiller Jim Rutledge retired at the beginning of the month.
A native of Owensboro, Ky., Elliot has been the Lawrenceburg distillery’s director of quality of the past 10 years, working closely with Rutledge. In that role, Elliot’s responsibilities included everything from applying his chemistry degree to evaluate bourbons in the tasting lab to taking part in the selection of barrels for special single barrel bottling and limited edition products.
