Free event from 2-5 p.m.
VERSAILLES, Ky. (Sept. 25, 2015) — The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) and the University of Kentucky (UK) will host the third annual Supplier Diversity Fair from 2-5 p.m. on Oct. 1 at the Pritchard Community Center, 404 S. Mulberry Street in Elizabethtown.
Minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned and differently-abled businesses interested in potential business opportunities with KCTCS and UK are invited to exhibit and/or attend the free event.
“This event offers opportunities to diverse suppliers that want to do business with both of our organizations within the communities we serve,” said KCTCS system director of business services Vikki Parman.
The fair is a matchmaking event that allows diverse suppliers to meet face-to-face with representatives from all of KCTCS’ 16 colleges, the KCTCS System Office and buyers from UK.
Buyers and officials from other organizations include: Commerce-Lexington, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, Small Business Administration, Toyota.
Last year’s Supplier Diversity event was attended by more than 300 guests, with 100 booths for diverse suppliers. Registration/exhibit space is free, but extremely limited.
