Mt. Sterling Industrial Park designated AT&T Fiber Ready

Mt. Sterling, Ky. – Representatives from AT&T, local leadership, and the Mt. Sterling-Montgomery County Industrial Authority announced that the Mt. Sterling Industrial Park has been designated AT&T Fiber Ready.

The AT&T Fiber Ready designation helps economic development leaders more effectively position their communities for site selection by emphasizing the availability of high-speed, fiber-based services.

“The effort to attract new businesses to communities – especially in rural areas – is increasingly competitive, and as we work to continue improving the business-friendly environment in the Commonwealth, the AT&T Fiber Ready designation provides the opportunity to clearly show the presence of modern communications services,” said State Senator Ralph Alvarado. “This can be a valuable tool as we continue to aggressively recruit new employers to the area.”

AT&T has been deploying high-speed, fiber-optic infrastructure across the Commonwealth for years, and the AT&T Fiber Ready designation is a tool for economic development leaders to highlight the assets available in their facilities.

“I am proud of the work being done in Frankfort and here locally to encourage greater investment and support of our local economies,” said Mt. Sterling Mayor Gary Williamson. “With this new AT&T Fiber Ready designation, we can clearly communicate to the business owners we are working with that the fiber-optic infrastructure that businesses need to succeed is available in Mt. Sterling.”
