Phillips joined GLI as senior vice president in 2014. Previously, he served as the Kentucky Chamber’s senior vice president of membership and marketing. Before joining the Kentucky Chamber, he was the vice president of member and investor development for GLI from 2006-2010. He also worked for a number of years in various sales leadership positions for AT&T.

“GLI’s loss is Greenville’s gain,” said GLI CEO Kent Oyler. “This is a great opportunity for Carlos to advance his career as a CEO of a dynamic 2200 member, 25 employee chamber.”

Phillips will begin his new position in Greenville effective March 29.

“We thank Carlos for his service at GLI and wish him well in Greenville,” said GLI chairman John Crockett, chairman of the Frost Brown Todd law firm. “It speaks well of GLI when one of our talented staff members finds an opportunity to advance his career within the chamber industry.”
