Applications being accepted for Justice Assistance Grant program

Deadline is March 31

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 2, 2016) — The Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet is now accepting applications for the 2016 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program.

JAG grants provide federal funds for state and local government projects that aim to strengthen the criminal justice system. Each state receives a minimum amount of funding with additional support based on population and crime statistics.

Due to a decline in federal funds, the Justice Cabinet is prioritizing anti-drug efforts this year, and applications will be limited to requests for funding in the Drug Task Force category.

The submission deadline is March 31.

Assistance with the application process may be obtained by contacting Grants Management Branch staff at (502) 564-8257 or through email at [email protected].
