LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 2, 2016) — Broker dealer and registered investment advisor Private Client Services (PCS) announced that The Russell Group, at Louisville-based wealth management firm Atlas Brown, Inc., has recently joined its broker/dealer platform.
Founding member of The Russell Group, David Russell, has been a prominent advisor in the Louisville area for more than 30 years. “We are excited to enhance our local presence by registering with PCS,” Russell said. “Not only will this new relationship provide value to our current clients, but will better position us to continue to grow in the area.”
Russell joined Atlas Brown in 2014 and serves as its executive vice president and head. His career in the financial services industry began in 1982 at J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc. as a stock broker before transitioning to Merrill Lynch in 1984. At Merrill Lynch, Russell was a senior vice president for Wealth Management. The Russell Group, which also consists of executive senior client associate Patricia Anderson and associate financial analyst Samuel Vonderheide, oversees more than $75 million in assets.
“There are so many advantages for an advisory practice to be registered with a local broker dealer,” said Ernest Sampson, CEO of PCS. “Most of our growth comes from outside of Kentucky. Anytime we can register experienced, local advisors, we think it’s a win-win.”
