Farmers Capital Bank Corporation names senior VP/CIO

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 10, 2016) — Fontaine “Chip” Banks, III has been promoted to senior vice president and chief investment office of Capital Bank Corporation, effective April 1, said president and CEO Lloyd C. Hillard, Jr.

Banks has 30 years of banking and investment experience with Farmers Bank & Capital Trust Co., a subsidiary of the Capital Bank Corporation. Most recently he was the senior vice president of the investment department of the bank.

“Chip has consulted and managed the investment function for all of our affiliated banks admirably for fourteen years,” said Hillard. “It is only logical that he is named the corporate chief investment Officer in an official capacity.”

Farmers Capital Bank Corporation is a bank holding company headquartered in Frankfort that operates 34 banking locations in 21 communities throughout Central and Northern Kentucky, a data processing company, and an insurance company.
