While the schedule is still being finalized through several community partners, Case is expected to tour centers of entrepreneurial density throughout Louisville before EnterpriseCorp’s event.

EnterpriseCorp’s Evening of Entrepreneurship will take place on Thursday, June 16th at the PNC Club at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The event celebrates Louisville’s progress building a sustainable, innovative community for entrepreneurs. The program will also focus on expanding knowledge and resources to get to the next level of entrepreneurial thinking through EnterpriseCorp’s State of Entrepreneurship address and Mr. Case’s keynote.

Steve Case is considered one of America’s most successful entrepreneurs and executives. He is best-known as co-founder of America Online and CEO of Revolution LLC.  His entrepreneurial career began in 1985 when he cofounded America Online. Under Mr. Case’s leadership, AOL drove the worldwide adoption of a medium that has transformed business and society.  AOL handled nearly half of all internet traffic at its peak, was the first ever Internet IPO, and was the top performing company of the 1990s. In 2000, Mr. Case negotiated the largest merger in business history, bringing together AOL and Time Warner in a transaction that gave AOL shareholders a majority stake in the combined company. To facilitate the merger, Mr. Case agreed to step down as CEO when the deal closed.

As current chairman and CEO of Revolution, a Washington, DC-based investment firm, Case partners with visionary entrepreneurs to build businesses such as Zipcar, Sweetgreen, and many others. Mr. Case has a passion for building startups that can change the world and helping entrepreneurs remains his driving force. Mr. Case was the founding chair of the Startup America Partnership— an effort launched at the White House to accelerate high-growth entrepreneurship throughout the nation. In 2013, the Startup America Partnership joined forces with Startup Weekend to create UP Global, which Steve now chairs. He is also a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship and was a member of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness where he chaired the subcommittee on entrepreneurship.

Mr. Case is also Chairman of the Case Foundation, which he established with his wife Jean in 1997. Together, the Cases have invested in hundreds of organizations, initiatives, and partnerships with a focus on leveraging the internet and entrepreneurial approaches to strengthen the social sector. In 2010, Steve and Jean joined The Giving Pledge and publicly reaffirmed their commitment to give away the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes.

EnterpriseCorp is pleased to host Mr. Case as keynote speaker.  More information and tickets are available at eveningofentrepreneurship.eventbrite.com.
