Dinsmore & Shohl attorney appointed to Continuing Legal Education Commission

Will be responsible for regulating continuing legal education programs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 6, 2016) — Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s J. Tanner Watkins was appointed by the Kentucky Supreme Court as representative of the 4th district on the Kentucky Bar Association’s the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Commission. Watkins will serve a three-year term.

As a member Watkins will be partly responsible for the administration and regulation of all continuing legal education programs and activities for the Kentucky Bar Association.

Watkins is a member of Dinsmore’s Litigation Department. He has extensive experience in state and federal courts, having represented a variety of companies, including banks, financial advisors and trust companies in fiduciary litigation matters. He also represents a number of transportation companies and product manufacturers in personal injury, mass tort, and general tort matters. Watkins’ experience in this type of litigation spans both trial courts and appellate courts.

Watkins earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, cum laude, in 2008 and received his undergraduate degree from Centre College in 2004.
