KFC Yum! Center to host preseason NBA game

Scheduled for Oct. 15

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 17, 2016) — For the third year in a row the KFC Yum! Center will host an NBA preseason game that features former University of Kentucky and University of Louisville players. The game, between the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves, is scheduled for Oct. 15. Tickets go on sale June 3.

Former UK player Karl-Anthony, who was just awarded the NBA’s Rookie-of-The-Year award, is on the Timberwolves. Former UofL player Gorgui Dieng is also on the team.

“The people of Louisville and those who visit our community love this venue,” said KFC Yum! Center general manager Dennis Petrullo. “It’s a well-known fact that Kentucky is basketball country, and it’s a huge testament that the Miami Heat wanted to return and play at the KFC Yum! Center for a third year in a row.”
