LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 23, 2016) — Lexington will host the 87th Annual Kentucky State Fire School scheduled from June 1-5 at the Lexington Convention Center and Cox Street parking lot.

Firefighters and first responders from Kentucky, as well as surrounding states, will be able to choose from more than 40 courses that offer both hands-on and classroom training. ”Today’s firefighters must be multi-skilled,” said Kentucky Fire Commission executive director Ronnie Day. “The types of situations our firefighters are being asked to respond to is evolving, so they have to be prepared.
