State baseball, softball championships begin Thursday

Softball champion will be crowned on Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 8, 2016) β€” The Kentucky High School Athletic Association baseball and softball state tournaments begin Thursday.

Baseball first round and quarterfinals are Thursday through Saturday, with semifinals on June 17 and the championship June 18. All games are at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington.

The softball state championships are Thursday through Saturday at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro.

  • 1:30 p.m. β€” Oldham County vs. Bullitt East
  • 6 p.m. β€” Scott County vs. Caldwell County
  • 8:30 p.m. β€” Campbell County vs. Ohio County
