Softball champion will be crowned on Saturday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 8, 2016) — The Kentucky High School Athletic Association baseball and softball state tournaments begin Thursday.
Baseball first round and quarterfinals are Thursday through Saturday, with semifinals on June 17 and the championship June 18. All games are at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington.
The softball state championships are Thursday through Saturday at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro.

Thursday
- 11 a.m. — Johnson Central vs. Highlands
- 1:30 p.m. — McCracken County vs. Elizabethtown
- 6 p.m. — Greenup County vs. St. Xavier
- 8:30 p.m. — West Jessamine vs. Bowling Green
Friday
- 11 a.m. — Hazard vs. North Laurel
- 1:30 p.m. — Oldham County vs. Bullitt East
- 6 p.m. — Scott County vs. Caldwell County
- 8:30 p.m. — Campbell County vs. Ohio County

- 5 p.m. — Madisonville-North Hopkins vs. Johnson Central
- 5 p.m. — East Jessamine vs. East Carter
- 5 p.m. — Highlands vs. George Rogers Clark
