LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 6, 2016) — Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP (MCM), a large regional accounting firm, will add the Cincinnati practice of CPA firm Elliott Davis Decosimo, effective July 1. MCM has nearly 300 employees across five offices in Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and Jeffersonville, Ind.
The move, mutually agreed upon by both firms as part of Decosimo’s geographic realignment strategy, will allow MCM’s Cincinnati focus to increase significantly. MCM entered the Cincinnati market in 2012 and merged with the former Cooney Faulkner & Stephens LLC (CFS) in 2015, moving into their Hyde Park offices. The partners joining MCM were formerly with Joseph Decosimo & Co which has been a part of the Cincinnati business community since 1985.
“MCM has been in Cincinnati for several years, but we are looking to grow the business commensurate with the opportunities we see in this critical market,” said MCM managing partner Diane Medley. “Our industry and consulting expertise are great fits for the Cincinnati economy, and by adding new members to our existing team, we’ll be able to provide our clients with more expertise, more capabilities and more resources.”
The CPAs in Cincinnati offer a full suite of traditional tax, assurance and accounting services, along with in-depth knowledge in key areas for MCM, including investment companies and funds, mergers and acquisitions, international tax, hospitality and not-for-profits. In joining MCM, new team members will not only expand MCM’s offerings, but greatly expand the company’s footprint in Cincinnati.
MCM’s market growth goals include adding more than 60 jobs and greatly expanding its office space in Cincinnati over the next three years.
