Ranked based on selectivity, reputation and flexibility
OWENSBORO, Ky. (Aug. 3, 2016) — Brescia University was ranked third in the nation on Accounting School Guide’s 10 Best Online Accounting Schools. Northeastern University and Pennsylvania State University were ranked ahead of Brescia.
The ranking considered all online accounting programs across the nation that offered the following degrees:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Certified Internal Auditor
- Certified Information Systems Auditor
- Certified Government Auditing Professional
- And Certified Bank Auditor (CBA)
Ranking was based on three factors; selectivity, reputation and flexibility. The acceptance rate of the program, how the program compares to other rankings in Forbes and US News and how flexible the programs are for working or adult students were considered and evaluated.
The website highlighted Brescia University’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree that is full online and built on a foundation of Catholic thought and centered around adult learners. They praised the generous transfer policy offered to students, and the flexibility of the program that allows students to accelerate their degree into a two-year time frame or less. The website stated that for “students looking for a Catholic, accelerated, adult-friendly degree option in accounting, Brescia University is hard to beat.”
