Rhine Ernest focuses on mineral law

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 11, 2016) — Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, a full service business law firm with locations in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, is expanding its Evansville, Ind. presence by combining with Rhine Ernest LLP, a recognized leader among firms practicing in the area of mineral law that has served the mineral industry for more than 35 years.

Founded in 1979, Rhine Ernest LLP has continuously focused the firm’s resources on the practice of mineral law. The firm has represented Fortune 500 operators and financial institutions, as well as small closely held operators; members of the firm routinely appear before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky on mining issues ranging from permitting to complex litigation. The partners of Rhine Ernest LLP have more than 150 years of combined experience in the coal and oil and gas industries.

“This combination not only enhances our commitment to serving the Evansville business community, it strengthens our regional and national mineral law presence with a team of attorneys who are ideally suited to provide high quality legal counsel to the mineral industry,” said Tobin McClamroch, BGD Managing Partner.

Rhine focuses his practice on coal, oil and gas law, and commercial transactions. He has more than 35 years of experience representing many of the nation’s largest mineral producers and lenders in transactions and litigation.

Ernest has more than 35 years of experience representing energy companies, business owners and individuals. His practice includes consulting on transactions between landowners and energy companies, appearing before administrative agencies, and advising business owners on the development of an effective succession plan.

The former Rhine Ernest LLP attorneys will continue to work out of their offices on Main Street at Old National Place. All of BGD’s Evansville attorneys and staff will relocate to this location by the end of 2016.
