Includes 75-80 rooms
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (Aug. 15, 2016) — A 75-80 room Holiday Inn Express & Suites is expected to open in Bardstown in late 2017 or early 2018, reports the Nelson County Gazette. The Jay Hospitality Group said it plans to open the hotel on Morton Avenue off Lincoln Way.
Twenty percent of the rooms will be suites. There also will be a conference space, swimming pool, Express Start breakfast bar with healthy breakfast options, a business center and an ultra-modern open space lobby.
Minoj Patel said the hotel help will fuel the area’s economic group and help attract additional development while also meeting the need for quality lodging options in the region.
He said in a press release: “My father, the late Jay Patel for whom the investment group is named, had a dream to build a hotel here years ago. I want to fulfill his dream and give back to the community that welcomed our family with open arms years ago. It is my way to have a legacy in Bardstown, a community that has helped my family prosper over the years.”
