Sports Medicine Urgent Care Clinic opens at Medical Center Jewish Northeast in Louisville

Open six days a week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 1, 2016) — KentuckyOne Health today opened a new Sports Medicine Urgent Care Clinic at Medical Center Jewish Northeast. The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

The clinic is equipped to treat a wide range of sports-related injuries, including ankle injuries, bone fractures, arthritis-related injuries and other injuries. Physicians will also be able to administer splints and braces, as well as other treatments. The clinic will provide the same quality of sports medicine care that is used to treat collegiate athletes, but will be open to athletes of all ages and abilities.

“The new clinic will provide specialized care in an efficient manner, offering patients a high level of sports medicine expertise” said Neil Patil, MD, Shea Orthopedic Group. “This clinic will be the best outlet for athletes with injuries like sprains or fractures that require immediate attention, but may not warrant an emergency room visit.”
