LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 1, 2016) — Premiere Home Video, located in the Hartland Shopping Center in Lexington, announced today on Facebook that it will close its doors in November, after 13 years in business. Premier is the only remaining video store in Lexington, according to LEX18.

Premier said in post: “It is with a heavy heart that we must announce Premiere Home Video will be closing its doors forever this November. The video business has changed over the last several years and the cost of doing business in the Hartland Shopping Center has increased dramatically. Due to the high cost of rent and maintenance which continues to increase every year we have decided to not renew our lease at the end of November.”

“We will no longer be accepting new memberships as of September 1st. We will continue renting throughout the month and then on October 3rd we will begin liquidation. Inventory will be sold at good prices so stop by and stock up on some of your favorite movies to add to your collection. We encourage you to continue to support us by renting all you can throughout September and then in October come out and buy our inventory and send it to a good home.”
