GLAR announces Realtor of the Year, other awards

Also Rookie of the Year and John R. Carpenter Award

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 20, 2016) — The Greater Louisville Association of Realtors (GLAR) announced the recipients of its annual awards at the organization’s annual meeting on Sept.12.

REALTOR of the Year Award

• Judie Parks: REALTOR of the Year is awarded based on realtor spirit, local, state and national sssociation activity, business and education experience, and civic activity.

John R. Carpenter Award

• Paula Barmore and Jack Colley: The John R. Carpenter Award honors a GLAR Member(s) who serves the community above and beyond the call to duty and goes to great lengths to serve civic or charitable interests.

Rookie of the Year Award

• Alan Voss: The Rookie Award is given on participation at GLAR Rookie REALTOR sessions and production.

Also, Allison Bartholomew was elected president of GLAR and Paula Colvin president of Metro Search, Inc., which oversees the Association’s Multiple Listing Service. Several GLAR members who have maintained continuous membership for 40 years and 25 years were also recognized at the event.
