1:50–2:50 p.m. – Pricing for Profit and Perceived Value Workshop
Developing appropriate pricing for creative work can be extremely difficult, as multiple factors need to be considered. Who is your target audience, and in what specific market will you compete? Will you sell in both the wholesale and retail markets? This workshop for artists, led by Vallorie Henderson with Louisville SBDC, will address these factors as well as how to account for production time, promotional expenses and material costs within your profit margin. Planning for your business’s overall success is critical, because if you don’t treat it like a business, it will never be one.

2:50–3:30 p.m. – Consultation and networking
Take this time to talk one-on-one with our business resource representatives to learn more about how you can use their services for your benefit. You can also use this time to talk with other creative people like yourself to broaden your personal network.
