Owensboro Air Show Oct. 1-2
OWENSBORO, Ky. (Sept. 26, 2016) — The Kentucky Department of Aviation and the Kentucky Aviation Association will host the 40th annual Kentucky Aviation Association Conference from Sept. 28-30 at the Owensboro Convention Center. The Owensboro Air Show will follow the event, from Oct. 1-2.
About 300 aviation professionals are expected to attend the conference, which will include sessions on handling airport emergencies, airspace considerations dealing with the growing use of unmanned aerial systems, enhancing the safety of aircraft approaches and airfield operations and complying with environmental regulations.
Representatives from the Kentucky Department of Aviation and the Federal Aviation Administration will be available to discuss current issues and airport funding considerations.
Industry suppliers and contractors will be available at individual exhibition booths to discuss their products and services. The Kentucky Department of Aviation is sponsoring an Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Air Safety Seminar on Sept. 28.
